Parent Child Agreement

Agreement for MESA KIDS Cooking School



Thank you for enrolling your child in MKCS! To insure the safety of all the children and positive learning we need to make sure that parents and students understand the rules below. Both parents and students will need to sign this agreement before attending any class.


1-Please Read carefully.

2- Medical forms need to be filled out and signed before attending.  

3- Children may wear an apron to class. Long hair must always be put up & away from the face. No jewelry allowed during class sessions. Rubber sole shoes must be worn. No open toed, flip flops, sandals or high heels of any kind. 

4- We have lockers for student who need them. If student needs one, when they come in, they need to get with the greeter at the door , they will then put it in the locker for safe keeping. 

5- Students are expected to wash their hands before class. Once students wash their hands at the handwashing station, students must sit in their designated spaces until class starts. Students understand that they can not touch, open cabinets, or material until they are told.

6- Temps will be taken at the door during Covid -19. Updates given as restrictions change.

7- All curriculum includes Safe Serve material as we need to make sure kids understand the safety of food handling and cleaning . 

8- If student misses a session , both parties understand that this is not refundable. We encourage all students to attend as each class builds for the next class in the curriculum. 

9- Students will be on a 3 mark system. If child misbehaves during class and is being disrespectful or disruptive, the student will get 1 warning before getting a red mark. If 3 marks are given , child will not be allowed to come to the next class at parents expense. If student gets 2 separate days of full marks the child will be dismissed all together from MKCS. No refunds for the class will be given. 

10- If the student hits anyone intentionally in class, the child will automatically will be dismissed from class. Parents will be notified about incident and will be asked not to come back. No refunds for class. 

11- If the child gets hurt during class we will automatically notify you and if further action is needed to go to a hospital, we will take those measures to insure the health of the student.

12- We expect students to be ready for class in their seat with washed hands by the start class time. 15 mins before class for arrival would be ideal to get everyone settled. Pick up time should be on time as well. No more the 10 mins after class. If there is an emergency where  the child will not get picked up on time, we do ask that you please call the office and let us know.  (Subject to a $50 fee)

13- If the children are carpooling with another student, the office needs to be notified before class starts.  

14- We want children to have fun and learn during class so we ask that children are ready to learn and follow through with their assignments. 

15- All instructors have culinary backgrounds and experience. Background checks are done to all of our staff.

16- Cameras are always recording for the safety of the children. If there is an incident that needs reviewing we will have those at hand. 

17- Allergy must be filled in at checkout before checking out out of all of our classes.

18- If your child is handicapped with a wheelchair or crutches , please contact the office so we can make accommodations for the student so he/ she is as comfortable as possible during our class.

19- Communication is key at our facilities, we ask that you please let us know if there is anything that we need to know for the safety of the children.

21- Parents/ Guardians will need to sign 4 Forms. Waiver 1- Release of Incident Waiver 2- Release of Photo and Video 3- Agreement  & Medical Form.
